Hi all - thought you'd like to see some photos from my attempt to get on the board early in the AOTY tournament. No fish encounters, and not much showing on the fish finder, except for the school I cruised over at full speed trying to beat the second snow/hail/rain storm of the day back to the boat launch.  Looking forward to warmer weather!

I'm sure you'll do well starting early and putting in time on water.  Sometimes it's just landing one good fish on that kind of day to really bump your score for the season. Good luck.

Way to get out in the weather! What do you fish for there? I don't think I've ever been to that lake.

I was trying for trout - according to the ODFW they had recently stocked the reservoir, but I didn't see any sign of life except for a few blips on the fish finder.  The water was slightly turbid (maybe 3 ft of visibility), but more of a steelhead green than brown.  I think after that trip I will probably wait a few more weeks for the weather to improve before investing another long day of driving for a few frigid hours of fishing...

Thanks for the info and the trip report. It's great when we share what's not working too, and I appreciate it!
