volunteers needed 11/29 Black Friday Sturgeon Swan Island

Hi Gang,

We are teaming up with The Fallen Outdoors on their Black Friday veteran sturgeon fishing event again this year. We'll be meeting up at Swan Island Boat Basin at 0700 and launching at 0800. We are in need of some on the water safety volunteers/fishing coaches.

There will be chow at Cathedral Park afterwards. TFO also has some sweet raffle prizes you could win if you are a veteran.

I’m a veteran, and would like to help teach some other veterans how to fish sturgeon.

We are all set for tomorrow morning. We have 8 to 10 vets signed up to fish.

I bumped into a gentleman yesterday at the sturgeon social that came out with us at our B.G. Lake event last year. He gave us a a hearty and sincere thank you for providing something to look forward to and a fun carefree day when he was really struggling. That really made my day and put a nice exlamation point on a great 2019. Thanks again to everyone that rolled up their sleeves and pitched in or donated. See you in 2020.

It was a chilly but awesome day on the water and hearing Thank you's like that are awesome as well. I think a lot of us kayakers out fished some of the PB's and at one point a guide asked me what we were doing and using since we were catching more fish than they were.
