Greetings from Walla Walla. New to kayak fishing and to the forum. Curious about the Snake River chinook fishery opened recently below Little Goose Dam. Can a kayak fisherman get in this action among all the boats? I have no idea what the pressure looks like. Thanks!

Welcome!  my family is from Walla Walla, both sets of grandparents lived there, I grew up fishing Mill Creek for rainbows, dolly varden, and whitefish, way up where it goes into Oregon....

Howdy! I fished Mill Creek as a kid too. Did you see any pics from the recent flooding? Crazy. I just got a Feelfree Lure 11.5 with the Pedal Drive. Love bass fishing, lots of spots around here, but a dream is to catch salmon/steelhead out of it. Maybe a special trip to your neck of the woods is in order! My sister lives in Eugene.

for sure, plan a trip over here for late-October/early-November and we should be able to find some coho in Siltcoos, often catch them casting near shore just like you were targeting bass, great fun.  The chinook run in the Siuslaw has been down, otherwise I would suggest trolling herring for them in late-September.
