waiting for tides to line up with days off, and ramps to be open... I was finally able to get out for my first trip out to the south jetty yesterday morning. No pictures as I completely spaced that I might be posting this  ???

Launched around 7, Nice calm morning I was able to fish till around 11. took about an hour to find the fish after dropping 2 crab pots off in 5 FOW, now that I have a decent enough fish finder I can actually hone in on the rock piles off the jetty. But once I did find them they were everywhere! Got a black, greenling, copper, then another copper, small lingcod, and another copper... and another... With the new sub bag limit of 1 copper/china/quillback I had to let most all of em go and called it quits around 11 with a measly 3 fish. Oh well, 6 keeper crab and I call it a great morning! Still getting used to my new Outback, that thing is amazingly steady over my old Ocean Kayak.

Was a busy morning over the radio, listened to the coast guard enforcing the morning 20' bar restriction, then the 16' restriction and rush of boats running out after they lowered it. a few divers complaining of the restriction and visibility conditions in the water. The rescue at Nehalem was going on too, glad that turned out okay! I did get most of the trip on the Gopro, will see about editing a video soon. It's been too long.

Thanks for the trip report. Glad you had a safe trip out and got some fish. My freezer is starting to look mighty empty, and I haven't had fresh crab in a year.
