Hey everybody, thanks for this site there is a lot of good content here.  I'm also a fan of ifish.net which seems to be a related forum.

For my kayak fishing intro:

I grew up near Portland fishing lakes & rivers around Oregon for trout with my family.  I got into Bass fishing with a buddy on his boat while in our 20s, then I moved to Chicago with my wife and fished less frequently but caught some slightly different trout, more bass, managed to land a big Pike on a craw crankbait one time and did a couple of guided Ice Fishing trips for whitefish in Wisconsin which were great experiences.  Around that time I picked up an inflatable Coleman(Sevylor) fishing canoe and started fishing out of that.

Moved back to Portland, started fishing trout again, got into salmon fishing with some friends, got some new waders for steelhead, got tired of inflating/deflating/drying out the inflatables + got a truck and house so could finally fit a full size kayak in storage & transit.

Upgraded to an Ascend 10' fishing kayak in March, used it a few times and realized I wanted to go bigger so that's when I stopped lurking on this site and created a user account so I could buy @surforegon's 12.5' Big Game Prowler II that he posted here:  https://www.northwestkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=22139.0
