I saw a dude try to get up to Willamette Falls on a SUP yesterday. No life jacket. Just swim trunks. He fell in and struggled his way back on in the swift current. He then sat on his hands and knees for a few minutes apparently contemplated what a stupid - potentially fatal - life decision he had just made. then he paddled back down river.

Maybe he learned something and will modify his actions in the future.

Ever since I nearly drowned myself practicing c-rolls alone and accidentally tucking my skirt's pull tab into the boat, I have resolved to minimize my chances of dying due to my own acute stupidity.

working on my second kokatat angler hydrus suit....the first was replaced when i had sent it in for a leak check. unknown to me til kokatat told me, the suit material was delaminating and they were going to replace it and for free!! this was 5-6 years after i got it.  original price fit my budget and neoprene neck gasket is more comfortable than rubber. i`ve dunked it, a couple times and maybe half a tablespoon water made it in the suit. pro tip: make sure ur relief zipper is closed!! :o
