I heard that G.I. Joes has Abu Garcia 6500 C3's on sale for $39.99.  That's half off ... a steal if you're looking for a decent reel.  I have one that I use in the salt water for salmon and rockfish/lings.  Okumas are on sale too.

Thanks for the heads up Allen!  I have a gift card burning a hole in my pocket, and I need to re-gear up for next year's derby.  Oh, I will still carry the flystick, but I need a deep water rig!

May the new year bring all you yakkers plenitful runs of your favorite little fishes (and a few of the lunkers as well!)
