For any interested I'll be doing two kayak fishing seminars at the Seattle Boat Show. They're going to cover the basics of kayak fishing and should be followed by a Q&A. Other than that I'll also be manning the Hobie booth to answer any kayak fishing questions. Word is we might have the new Hobie Pro Angler on display.

Seminars are on the fish stage at:
Tuesday 27th @ 7PM
Thursday 29th @ 7PM

I'm guessing that now Allen is moving to San Jose, I'll be doing that show next year.

New Hobie Pro huh?  I'm suddenly starting to feel out numbered here.

Brian, any idea if there's anything going on kayak-related at the Portland boat show this weekend?

I hooked Zee up to give the seminars at the Boat Show this year.  Last year they were well attended.  With Zee also working the Hobie booth, this will be THE show with the most to offer in terms of kayak fishing.

I think the Sportsmens shows would be a good place for this as well.  But as of yet, haven't been able to find anyone interested in "helping out".

I think this is just the beginning ...

folks, if you get the chance to go, do so.. it's how i met allen the 1st time, and his seminar was well worth the price of admission alone..come to thnk of it, i believe rob [ yakker? hand built pygmy chinook?] and hooknose [ jason] may have been in the audience too but dont hold me to that  :D i think allen was co-located with the Scotty guys last year, he had a yak and lots of other stuff on dislplay... it's how i got my really first up close and informative glimpse into yak fishing..and afterwards you can wander the halls and look at the monstrous prices of the stink boats and be happy you got bit by the cure.   :o

last year, upper level had a lot of electronics vendors, like raytheon and icom, and oh, probly at least 5 local yak vendors were there too...[ i felt like the old joke about yokels in the city; " well, would ya lookit there , margaret, i aint never seen such a thing!"] anyways, go support Z and have a great time too..

Well, had the last of my seminars last night and had a good time meeting our newest members! I'll still be at the Hobie booth this weekend and have a few passes left. So if you're interested in checking out the show PM me.
