Has anyone been down to Diamond Lake this year. Heading down this weekend and looking for some intel on fishing it from a Yak

Because of covid, we didn't make it south of Crane Prairie this year, and I have never fished Diamond this late in the summer season.  I sent you a pm with what little info I have from over the years -  hope it helps - good luck!

Besides afternoon winds, I think the lake is pretty yak accessible (never fished it, only been on shore).  From what I understand the resort has a pretty good fishing report.

Went there for a week in July. Fishing was great, limited out each day. Biggest was 21 1/2 " 3 + lbs.  I can the trout and use it all year.  Going again for a week next Sun.  I like Theilsen  view side best.  East side of lake is rocky and hard to take out kayak in the wind. Fishing has been light this year because of virus. Lots of the fish were in the 17 to 18 inch size and fat.

stopped by on my way to Lemolo and almost hooked a pumpkin orange tiger from the bank... those fish are beautiful.
