Hi all!  I have been seeing people pull jumbo triploid rainbows out of Rufus Woods Reservoir, but know nothing about that fishery other than it's a 50 mile stretch of the Columbia. I was wondering if anyone had ever fished it from a kayak, where they launched, where they stayed, etc. Hard to cover that much water from a kayak lol. I will do my due diligence with google, but if anyone has first hand advice for locations and hear, I would be very grateful. Tight lines!

In a normal year you would focus on fishing the areas up by the net pens near the town of Nespelem. However, due to Covid fishing and access of Colville Tribal lands in prohibited. There are no alternate access points that provide easy access to this area. You can fish the lower and upper parts of the reservoir but don't expect to find those large triploids as they rarely stray from the area near the pens. Lodging is available in Grand Coulee.
