My Name is Rhine (pronounced like the river),
I have been an angler my whole life and a avid kayak angler for years. I live in a tiny community in the coast range of western Oregon, About half way between the coast and Willamette valley. I am a proud owner of a Field and Stream Eagle Talon and a 2020 Hobie PA 14. I look forward to being a member of this community of like minded folks! There is a ton of info here and I look forward to seeing some of you on the water! Thanks NWKA

Welcome.   Blodgett is where I turn right to head for the Siletz, the gateway to Summit. ;)

Yup, Im in Burnt Woods. thats the best route if your going to moonshine or the gorge. If im going to twin bridges or lower, its faster to take hwy 20 to Sams Creek rd. But save yourself a trip this year if you have not been recently. Fishing is VERY,VERY SLOW this year!

Thanks for the info. I hate to hear that about the  fishing up there but I'll probably go once later on regardless.

Welcome to the NWKA forum Rhine.  Lots of great people and information here!  How do you like your PA14?  I have a 2019 PA14 that I picked up used as a project yak last fall.  It hasn't seen the water yet (by me anyway).

I love my PA14. I Bought it used as well and the guy put a 45lb thrust minn kota on it!. I have yet to try the motor but it might be nice in saltwater. The 2020 PA14 I bought does not have the 360 drive. I stuck with the 180 drive. Even though the 360 is pretty awesome, Its a first generation and there is always a version 2 of a first gen. The guy who I bought the PA14 from had a 360 drive on his other one and he had and already had warranty issues. All and all, its big, its heavy, its really expensive and i love it :)

I stayed away from the 360 drive for the same reason.  PA14s are not IMHO great car topping yaks but easy enough to load in the back of my truck.  Looking forward to spring when I can get it out for the maiden voyage.  In the meantime I will play with outfitting it with accessories.
