I came across this boat in the latest Orvis catalog this week.  It looks like an interesting combination boat- half canoe/half kayak.  Has anybody seen this, paddled one, or have any comments?

I heard about them a couple months ago.  They were introduced to the industry in August.  Parent company is Legacy Paddlesport, which also is the parent company to Heritage Kayaks and Watertrail Paddling Gear.

The Ultimate looks like a canoe/kayak cross.  No storage or scupper holes.  The Magic doesn't have any info up but it looks more like a traditional kayak from the one side shot posted.  The Compass is just a canoe.

Alder Creek is listed as a dealer for them in the Northwest.
