Hey Everybody,

I'm selling off my Outfitter tandem along with all the accessories. I used it a lot, but my fishing buddy passed away and so I'm out of the game. Here's the website with specs: https://www.hobie.com/kayaks/mirage-outfitter/

The kayak comes with:
-wheeleez
-turbo fins for one of the drives
-blowup pontoon set (I haven't used them, but the bar for them is mounted behind the driver's seat; I attach my crate to it)
-one emergency paddle
-folding grapnel anchor
-one scotty rod mount with extender
-crate with rod holders
-a fish finder (it was already installed when I bought it (used), but I never used it, so I can't guarantee it functions)
-a bilge pump (not really useful but required if you enter a tournament)
-an unopened repair kit (soldering iron etc)
-various other odds and ends

Here's the small print, full disclosure:
-One of the rudder cables (really a string/cord) is broken. It needs to be repaired, and I would recommend replacing all the cables for safety. See the image I've attached.
-There is damage to one of the front ClickNGo well assembly pieces, but it still functions. See the image I've attached.
-It has the old-style seats folding fabric seats, which are pretty much at deck-level. They aren't as comfortable as the newer raised seats. I put a boat flotation cushion under me to raise myself up a bit.
-This is an older design, so it has a twist and stow rudder and more care needs to be taken to avoid damaging it than the newer models.
-The rudder cable entry holes are close to water level, so when I used it in choppy seas the hull took on some water. The boat has a drain hole at the front, so you can tilt the boat to empty it once you are back on shore. Like the old style rudder, this is a design issue that Hobie seems to have solved with the newer models.
-The tandem is rated for 425 pounds. I would say that's maybe for still water and I wouldn't recommend passengers more than 350 myself. I used it solo and carried ballast (barbell weight plate plus a big ice cooler with ice) and that worked really well.
-There are various cosmetic scratches to be expected with a used boat.

I'm asking $800 for the whole shebang. I'll consider other serious offers. Thanks!

That's a good price even with the repairs to be done and if I hadn't just purchased another Revo (and didn't WANT to stay married) I would scoop that up in a hot minute...
