Where do you stick these? They are a good idea but I don't feel comfortable with my name and number hanging out there in the parking lots and in general public spaces. Inside maybe??

Inside walls of yak, near bow hatch, another in the rear if you have a large easy access hatch.

Also take a rubbing and a picture of your serial number and keep on file at home.

I second the keeping a picture of the serial number.  Too much gear seems to disappear these days and having documentation of ownership is very useful for police reports and possible recoupment of gear.  I have a spreadsheet with all my gear serial numbers (and purchase dates) just in case.  I also import a picture of said S/N into the spreadsheet.  Never know when it might come in handy.......
