Hello! Fairly new to Suquamish...retired and moved up from Portland last year. Pretty familiar with the area with siblings on Bainbridge. Folks lived there for decades. Anyway...trying to get settled in and interested in kayak fishing/crabbing etc. I've got a Wilderness Tarpon 120 I brought up from Portland that I've never fished from but am planning on getting out on this summer. I've been doing a lot of looking and on line research into pedal boats though and am getting mighty curious. Salmon trolling????  ;). I'd like to poke around this forum and see what yaks and gear people are running and how they're using it. Hope to see some of you on the water this summer!

welcome aboard. That Tarpon will serve you well on the local lakes.
That Old Town you asked about in the other thread? Is if peddle or paddle or is it powered? You'll want some assistance when fishing your area of the sound. Some of the current rips there are pretty gnarly.

Thank you! I'm actually supposed to be picking up that Old Town tomorrow! It's a PDL. I'm really really interested in getting out on the Sound locally. Both fishing and crabbing. Wanted something roomy and capable and the Big Water seems like it fits the bill.
