Missing kayaker, Strait of Juan de Fuca

I just don't understand why anyone is kayaking the ocean or rough water and not wearing their PFD! There was a small craft advisory already issued for the area he called 911 from.

They found his kayak and PFD was with it.

Super sad for the family and friends! Just can't believe this just keeps happening.

and all he had on was "rain gear" apparently.  You can't fix stupid and ignorance.
