Hit it Sunday early and fished 4.5 hours. Very slow, only heard of one being caught. Good number of boats. 7,100 over the falls as of 9/25 so plenty of fish around.

I got one at about 10:30 today.  12 oz lead, 360 flasher, pink spinfish and 25 feet of line on the counter.  Hopefully that works more than once for me this year. I marked a bunch.  It is encouraging. It must have been tired out from coming up the ladder because it was not very feisty until it saw the net.

Same experience with fish being super sluggish until they see the boat. I have nabbed 3 so far. All of mine have been right on the bottom. 16 oz 32' on the counter. Same general gear setup. I will start running both depths until something starts biting. Hoping the weather change will spark some action. May hit it this afternoon. Hard to pass up when it is less than 10 min from my house.

How big were the coho you guys caught?
A day without fishing probably wouldn't kill me,
but why risk it?

Wild morning. Landed 1 ten minutes in the water. Lost one ten minutes later. 20 minutes later hooked a double and and both but unfortunately had to let one go.

Actually fishing time maybe 20 minutes.

Fun!

Quite a few fish rolling out there today. Only saw one caught, decent size. Most of the ones I saw at Tualatin mouth were red jacks, but some adult bright ones too.

Fished yesterday from 9:30-11:30, roughly 20 boats, marked lots of fish, heard of 2 caught but never saw a single hookup from anybody. I changed spinners, speed, depth, location, and nada.

Not the willamette, but I fished mouth of the lewis on the Big C yesterday (fighting brutal wind) and drew up two solid hatchery Ho's.  Trolling faster seemed to be the ticket for me.  Pink hoochie spinner behind a 360. 12 oz of lead and 35 on the counter.  Both picked up going downstream at 2.5-3MPH SOG
