checking my freezer (plenty of lingcod but no crabcakes), I decided to skip the ocean on Monday, head for the submerged jetty, making a limit of crab my priority with a chance of big lingcod.

that's how it turned out, I started out pulling pots just loaded with smalls and females.  Moving closer to the mouth and focusing on 30' depth got me into some nice keepers, pulled up probably 20+ over low tide that sorted down to a nice limit.

I had lower CoosBay basically to myself and fished up and down both sides of the submerged jetty several times with squid and lancer's, small copper rockfish was it.  also fished out towards the mouth, along the newly rebuild north jetty, but no fish.

really nice day out there and I love these full winter crabs...
