Arrived at 0730 to an empty parking lot, not sure that's ever happened to me, and headed towards Simpson's Reef.  Good current pushing north, waves seemed to be coming from various directions and not working with the current.  Made for a little bit of an erratic ride, but the swell was mild and the wind negligible so all good.
Plenty of rockfish and lingcod, but no real big ones of either.  Couple ling in the 26-29" range were the biggest.  Also got 2 nice copper rockfish and a 20" cabezon.  they were all loving herring and my leftovers from last fall's lake trout effort were quickly gone.  More than a couple didn't even make it to the bottom before getting smacked.
That strong current made the journey back pretty quick
