Tomorrow's the last Sunday for Springers on the lower Columbia.  I'm looking to avoid the Airport crowds and spotted some promising water on the USCG Columbia Nav maps around St Helens.  Anyone intersted in a low potential trip with a high potential for work and rain.  ;D

The venue would probably be soaking Quickfish till the tide starts coming in around noon then trolling.

If I didn't realize that I'd read the regulations wrong......  :-\

"From the Hayden Island powerlines (west towers) upstream to Bonneville Dam, the season will run 7 days a week from March 1-22, and four days a week (Wed. - Sat.) from March 25-April 22."

Either I'll be fishing upriver somewhere or ... or ... or ...  I don't know....

Naw ... not that hard.  I got a 210 pointer last year ... think Lake Trout!!!   ;)  I think the landlocked trout category is one of the ones that offers a good opportunity of hitting a big points fish.  This may be the difference between winner and loser. Go gettem' gentlemen.

Nice fish.. An MONSTER from the cement pond... That will be tough to top, short of another brooder.  Need to read up on some local brooder fisheries if I want my AOTY trout fix.  Way to to raise the bar for AOTY, should be a real horse race this year.
