Of the two, which is the more preferred yak?  Big Game Prowler or Trident 13.  Is wider better?

Wider = more stability but less speed, just depends on what you want

Trident 13 is the most popular here at the moment.

I'm sure others will chime in on this, until then you can do some searching around the forum, both yaks have been discussed many times.

I believe your size is the most important first factor to include.....how big/heavy are you and the gear you intend to fish with?
 after determining that, shop accordingly, and paddle as many as you can before buying.
