Sunday, 5-23: Despite conditions, DT & I went north out of Sunset, portaged across the sand bar, & lucked out. Two limits, three 20 inchers. When I went to bed that night, I could still feel the ocean rolling.

ready to go!

interesting conditions

Great photos Paul, the bird shots were awesome! Can't wait to get back down there for some black slaying action. It doe's look a bit choppy, but then, I always feel the motion at night after a day on the salt! Where were the Roy's?

Note that you can resize images in the following way by using the width=600 (or some other width) in the leading img BBC code.

Yep, that's all I did. I added the " width=600" to the img start tag.

I may be there this weekend. I'll call you if I am. I'd like to target some perch for points.

Sounds like a good idea. I'm thinkin using squid on smaller hooks in the thick kelp bed below the Lighthouse. Mike caught one on the inside south of squaw island.

squid is good. i've had my best luck on perch with mussels or sand shrimp. i'd settle for stripped perch but would really like to try & find some pink fin (http://www.dfw.state.or.us/MRP/finfish/sp/redtail_surfperch.asp). I've shot some big rubberlip diving off Little Cove, but never caught them off the yak.
