Evidently there is some question of legality in some states.  The way the barbless circle hooks latch on to the outside of the jaw does seem to allow for better CnR.

Nothing new here IMO.  It's common up in AK to peg a bead a few inches above the hook when fishing for rainbows (not for flossing).

Thanks for the link, interesting stuff.  I like the idea of it being easier on the fish but somehow it just doesn't seem right.  Something to ponder since Mother Nature is saying no to actual fishing at the moment.

I asked ODFW if this was kosher.  Nope, Moffitt technique is considered snagging by the state of OR.
