Brian-

I only have one kayak and one paddle... I am able to bring one more yak/paddle if someone else provides it.  Hopefully this doesn't mess up the number of yaks for the guys.  If so, I will provide shore support.

Thank you all for helping out on this.  I wish I could make it, but I'll be in Ketchikan.

Again, I have 2 kayaks that can be used if someone can pick them up.  But the paddles/PFDs/seats are locked up in my house with no way to get to them.  Actually, one may have a seat inside it.  Could probably get a couple extra sets from OK factory or Backpackers if needed.

We'll have a few more events this summer...I know some of you cant make it out on this trip.  It looks like were doing good on the Kayak pft's and paddles Allen.  Thank you though!    We have 5 "emergency" kayaks 5 miles away on stand-by if we need them.

Brian Oakland here, a.k.a. 'Yak Monkey.  Yes, I will be picking up the kayaks in Ferndale at Johnson Outdoors.

I could also use one of the extra pfd's if my old Malibu2 is to be used as a tandem with 2 adults.  I have 2 adult and 1 child PFD that I'll be bringing.  I'm headed off to modify a trailer today, or maybe rent one if the modification becomes too costly and time consuming.  Either that or I'll be able to borrow a larger truck.

I'm definitely going to be able to grab the 4 boats out of Ferndale, and odds are I can also grab PolePole's boats out of Seattle, if we need them.  I'll be able to more definitely answer that question on Wendesday noon-ish when I pick up the kayaks in Ferndale.  I'll be headed South on Wed. night.

~edit~
Spoke with Dave Johnson up at the factory just now and he confirmed pickup for Wed. between 11 and 1.  He's providing 4 different hulls so that we can team up the kayak to the body type of the anglers.  These folks ROCK!  I hope they are watching this thread, too!

WOW thanks Yak Monkey!!

I got 2 more soldiers to head out there with us so we can put one more guide out there!   There will be family, friends on shore who would love a few basic fishing lessons if anyone is interested (knot tying, rod/reel orientation, basic fish behavior, etc...)
This thing is really looking good thanks to all of your help!!

Anyone who wishes to come to the pre-event meeting for the HOW trip need to go to the information center  http://www.fortlewismwr.com/nac.htm  (head east off exit 120, just before the north fort gate )  you will need to have:
Vehicle registration
proof of insurance(w/ Vin# & Exp date)
drivers license.
The northwest adventure center is across I-5, go through the gate(with your pass) take a right at San Francisco stay to the right.  It will be the first building on the left (approx 1/2 mile down San Fransisco)

If you are going to pre-fish with us I'll see you there at 0700 @ Lake St. Clair
