New Malibu

I see Malibu has a new yak, the stealth 14, with a casting platform. Anyone seen it or tried one yet. Looks nice. Even has a place for live bait well.

Very cool deck. The boat is built around that hatch. The center well is terrific, and the way the 'wing' hatches that flank it are put together, eliminates most of my concerns with a built-in live well. The port side wing goes straight into the hull, where the plumbing passes through, so you can see it. The other side is a storage compartment, oddly sized for tackle flats, but fine for other containers. Really, you don't need a tackle box or crate with this thing, very nice. Here's the caveat - like most other Malibus, stability is the primary design consideration. For me, it falls short on paddling performance. As long as you don't mind pushing around a lot of boat, it is definitely worth a close look.

Any other comments/reviews? Seems like the boat for me as stability for a big person(me) is a plus at 33" beam- probably stable enough to do some crabbing/shrimping.
Any one own one around here?
