Some ill wind blew me into town, the Malibu barge was still in my yard waiting patiently, and now I'm trying not to develop the Portland Syndrome. Planning to go somewhere near PC tomorrow and spend the night somewhere near the beach.  Thursday day and Friday morning is looking pretty promising. Anybody up?

I want to get out to PC and if I know that there will be some folks there to watch me make a fool of myself in the surf, I am totally down for it.

Are you guys really sure you want to head to the salt with WALI?  :o  Remember, he is the inspiration for and the moderator of the forum "Don't Ask Me How I Know."

Are you going Friday morning Madoc?  I'm debating using a little sick time at work, got that salt water bug i suppose   ::)

I doubt I'd get to fishing much if at all my first day, but who knows.. Might be fun to have someone else to huli with...

Planning on a surf day, would also be cool to meet some OG's...

I'm hoping to get out tomorrow, I pulled a few muscles in my back and neck this morning that I hope to have resolved later this am.  Who knew that brushing your hair was a workout?

If I am in shape to head out tomorrow am, I hope to hit PC by 7am.  I drive an Orange Honda Element, and it will have a green Outback on top.  So either you'll see my rig, or you'll see a newb in a green boat getting rolled in the breakers :D

Same here, odd I thought I posted last night, must have timed out or something.

I did not make the deadlines I had hoped to for work, taking today off would leave my coworkers hanging, so it's back at the office. :'(

I'm going to try to head out tomorrow morning if all looks good, maybe Sunday as well.

Hopefully FFTW and PP are out there catching some fish

As always, when I post anything that sounds like I'm going fishing, real life rears its lovely head.  ::) I hope PP scores again.

I did make it to the coast yesterday, but it was family day at the beach and we had an early appointment this morning that kept us from spending the night.
But, it looked REALLY good out there yesterday. I didn't make it as far south as PC, but the water from Cannon Beach to Tillamook was lovely!  3-4' surf looked like a fairly easy launch and an entertaining landing, but past the breakers it was Lake Pacific. 8)

BTW: Anybody know whats about 3/4 of a mile off of Rockaway Beach? We had a pitstop there and I noticed two small boats working the area.  Maybe there's a haystack or two that don't break the surface? ??? That would make that an "interesting" launch and easy parking spot. :dontknow:

Were the boats bottom fishing or trolling?  It is coho season right now and they might have been working a bait ball.
