That being said, sharks key in on electrical signals that kayaks don't give off.

What about kayaks with fish finders and transducers?

Not sure honestly. I'm going to keep telling myself they can tell the difference between living energy fields and non living.

I also have seen shark deturrents that use electrical signal to turn them away. I definitely don't know enough about them to understand the difference, or what turns em on and what turns them off.

I just tell myself that it's better to be eaten and be a part of the food chain than to be burried in the ground full of preservatives rotting for no good use.

Circle of life dude.

I would rather not be eaten, die of old age, and  be buried full of preservatives.  Then, I will not rot and the carbon that makes up my body will be safely sequestered underground.  Therefore, I will reduce my carbon footprint and reduce global warming.  Its a win win for everyone, especially me!  ;D

My understanding is that it's the sublte electrical current in the nervous system that attracts sharks, not all electrical signals.  I think that if a transducer created a shark attracting signal, we'd know it by now purely by the volume of these devices on the water today.  If anything causes me to look around a little better is bleeding out my catch.

I'd rather not get eaten by a shark either.  That would ruin a good day of fishing for sure.  I'd like to pass into the after life with all my body parts as originally intended. As for the circle of life, you can be planted under your tomatoes and help them grow.   ;D

To the Karma Gods.... :help:  If you'll put in a good word for me at the next meeting, I'll promise not to hunt and kill sharks, and hope it is reciprocal.

I'm pretty sure the transducer wouldn't do anything to attract a shark, otherwise we would be seeing GWs smacking their heads into fishing and naval vessels everyday.

Combo visual cues, scent and appropriate electrical fields - the electrical field put out by a fish or seal or human is considerably weaker than a 12v powered piece of equipment.
