I don't have too much time on Sat morning but can fit in some fishing if I go early in the AM (6). I'd like to head out to the south end like Pole2 suggested but because of time I can't make it. I'll be launching out of Sand Point @ SR&K so if anyone's up for it I'd like to meet some more NWKA'rs. Will be on Ch. 69 as usual.

It was an absolute wind-fest! When I launched it was light to the North so drifted with it all the way to the Sammish river mouth trolling all kinds of spoons behind some lake flashers. No hits the whole way. I fished around the mouth for a bit for nada. The FF was showing some fish but they seemed to be not interested. When it was time to head South again the wind had started to come up again so I kicked it gear and headed out. Halfway there the wind went nuts. Full on in my face death wind. I figured I suffering already so threw my line out and kept a 2 mph pace the whole way back for a stinky skunk. It was a bummer but a hellova workout. Was thinking the wind might have kept the fish off. Dunno if there's anything to that.

Z, just an FYI on the north end of the lake.  I used to fish this area quite a bit.  I've never found much going on for trout further north that about the where the barge is anchored up.  Right around the 20' mark is about it.  It is a shallow shelf to the north of this and the only fish I find north of the barges are typically small perch, especially as we go into the summer months.
