Went to PC to meet/greet/watch Madoc, and anyone who decided to go with him.

He posts that he slept through the opportunity (Oops!  :-\ ), so no show.

But two other yakfishers did show up (not active NWKA listers).

Thought someone might find it interesting that one of them came in with 3 decent, fat, cabezons (one very nice), and reported catching no blacks at all. First I've heard of an all cabezon catch :o . He came ashore about 11 AM.

2nd fisher had no luck.

I'm not good with names, but 1st was driving a white Lexus, and fishing from an OK trident 13 (sand color?).

Beautiful day.  Dory driver said that the breakers were "a little high" compared to average, but looked good to me (not experienced enough to judge). Dory brought in a bunch of really great crabs, reported traps were in about 65 feet of water south of Haystack a few miles.

1st yakker had slightly more wave action on  landing, but did a hard lean-in w/paddle brace, and came through fine.

2nd flipped in surf at last moment (all gear stowed, nothing lost but hat, which was recovered).

Odd development in parking lot - someone started a 3rd line behind cars already parked two deep, and others filled in that 3rd row. Seems a good way to really anger those with cars trapped in the middle row, by drivers who are nowhere to be seen, and who may not be back for who knows how long.

Must have been a "Duh!" epidemic.  ???

Wondered whether PC has any city street sweepers. Sand mostly covered the lines in the parking lot, so people were parking "freestyle". Some are better at it than others.

Girlfriend and I are really impressed with the pizza at Doryland.

Finished the day with a hike to cascade head. It's almost like a fantastic view up there. ;)

Hey, sorry I wasn't there.  I wish that I had been, it sounds like the Cabs were out in force yesterday.  I think my sleeping through the alarm was my subconscious telling me that I need to eat the fish in my freezer before I catch more.
