I'm envious of the good time had by all at Big creek res. ;)

The only thing I would not trade, in order to have been there, was the good time I had at the Port townsend Wooden Boat Festival.

Given that for many people the PTWBF is THE West Coast boat-event of the year, I wonder what this group would think of planning the RC for a weekend that does not conflict with the PT event?

I assume that there are a number of others here with boating interests beyond  yak fishing, and I for one would like to be able to attend without having to choose one event over the other.

Depoe/Big Creek is not far for me,...if the date had been different, there would have been at least one more participant. I realize that there will always be individual circumstances that will not permit attendance, ...but why build-in a conflict with a major boating event?

Thoughts?  ???
