Wish I could join you again, but unfortunately I can't get off work that day. Give us a report!

How did you do? I should have a day or two off this week and planed to cath a few more pinks before they are gone until 2011.

I second that Ravdacot.

So Squidgirl.....how did you do and did you like using the new bait caster?  What do you think?

EM7b5....did you fly fish again?  What patterns are they hitting on now?  Any coho yet?

Squidgirl slept in yesterday so I was the only yak out there. I saw a couple of pinks caught a few days ago when I walked down to look but the numbers of fish are much lower than a week or two ago.  Didn't see anything taken yesterday. The nice part is that the crowds are way down too. Although the kids fishing derby this sunday will draw a few I'm sure.
I did see several coho rising through the morning on both sides of the point but it seemed there were slightly more on the Tacoma side and into the bay. My only fish finder at this point is my eyes so I can't tell you about anything further down. I spent about four hours casting, trolling, changing flys, changing lines and planning what to do next. All in all a beautiful morning on the water, just without any hookups for me.
And yes, it was all flyfishing as I don't own any other kind of gear. I'd say that I enjoy a more minimal approach to it all, but when I count the number of rods around here that argument falls apart pretty quickly. ;D

Although the fishing was slow it sounds like a nice paddle on the water.
