After the so-so weekend at Neah Bay, I'm back in CA and decided to hit one of my favorites down here, Fort Ross on the Sonoma Coast.  Decided to fish large hex bars today in search of Lingzilla.  With the large hex bars, hookups are usually few and far between.  I did put a shrimp fly above it so I wouldn't get totally bored.  It was good enough for a steady pick all morning.  I did hook one medium sized vermillion rockfish that I kept for the dinner table.  I also caught a fair amount of underlings and a couple that might have been barely legal (24"), all of which I released.  But no Lingzilla love for me.
