WWQCI,

Welcome!!!

You may be the first kayak fisherman I've met from Northern BC.  Where exactly are you from?  And what's the fishing like?

My names Jeff and I live in Port Clements. Its at the bottom of the Masset inlet on Graham Island. Fishing is pretty great for Salmon, Halibut and the regular Bottom dwellers. Cut-throat trout reach 5 lbs and Dollies about the same. Theres no pike here either. I satisfy my cravings for big pike every year in Northern Saskatchewan. If you ever want to go fishing trophy pike I'll hook you guys up with a marked map and a guarantee you'll see and catch fish over 43" in a week. Huge fish on topwater baits...what a blast. Ive been dealing with a friend down in Nicaragua who has started a lodge on the Rio San Juan that borders Costa Rica. Man theres another amazing place. Huge world record threatening Tarpon 230 lbs and Ive seen them bigger. Another Kayak adventure if you dare the jungles. I would love to try that.man

Here in the Charlottes though the action is pretty great from april to late October then for the hardcore the halibut and bottom fish are awesome if you deal with the wind a bit. The biggest salmon reported in the inlet last year to my knowledge was 74 lbs. I saw two halibut over 200 lbs but I'm sure there was more. theres great times to visit and theres bad times due to weather but if you guys ever venture up this way let me know and I'll hook you up.

It sounds like you guys are on the fish alot. I would love to meet you on one of your journeys in the future. Ive read aout some of the past ones .Sweet memories.
Luv life
Jeff

Hey Jeff,

Man...what a great time in Moutcha!  I had a blast hanging out and talking fish!  We're coming up your way....you can count on that....just have to figure out when and how.

I'll be in  touch soon,

Darren
