Just wanted to let everyone know Alder Creek (me) is officially offering guided kayak fishing and instruction on fresh & salt in the state of Oregon as of now. Custom trips are always an option, and here in the next couple of weeks I'll be adding Pacific City yakfishing day trips to our schedule of classes/trips.

In general we're looking at $125/person, min 2 people, preferably 3. all kayaking gear, instruction/guiding provided. Food, fishing gear & license, transportation is not included.

Contact Alder Creek @ 503-285-0464 for questions or to book a trip.

As soon as I get word from WDFW, I'll post info for the San Juan Island 5 day yakfishcamp trip.

Feel free to spread the word to anyone you think might be intersted!

wait I just got the salvage part. you mean recover a sunken mirage drive? or recovering/re-entering a mirage drive boat as in rescue/re-entry?

re-entry yes. salvage no :)

although this does remind me of the guy (I called him Malibu Ken because of his orange leatherskin & salty golden hair) that hung out at the mouth of the Smith and would swim around at low tide and pick up all the kastmasters that people snagged and resell them for $5 each.

Maybe your on to something holt. $125/person for guided kayak fishing, then another $125 for me to snorkel around and recover all the yardsale debris from the bottom of the ocean after the kayak fishing trip. ;D

Don't forget to decompress when coming back up from the 100ft depths at Pacific City, otherwise your eyeballs will look like this ======>  :o

Maybe I'll just hire Malibu Ken. He needs a job anyways.

That is a VERY profitable business at La Jolla down in San Diego. That's where I bought a couple of items that I still use to this day for dirt cheap!  ;D

BTW, Jason, I'm officially jealous.  I'd love to do that type of thing, and had been thinking about it quite a bit the last few months...

Well, the door is open for everyone now! I'm tired of hearing from industry people saying no one kayak fishes in the PNW.

Let's blow it up and make OR & WA a kayak fishing mecca.

I've been thinking about it for a few years, but for some reason it just seemed doable this year.
