Lookin for fellow yakker's to ride shotgun on a Dino expedition next Thurs or Fri Am.
Give me a holler if interested. Could use the company and share in the BS.

fn1,

Yeah, I'm thinking that I could go for some of that.  So... what's the general plan of attack?

More specifically, what's the proposed launch location?  Are sand shrimps the bait?  If so, where and when do you get them?  It's totally your call and I'm just "riding shotgun" as you suggest, but I might suggest launching from kayak point and fishing the Stilliguamish River delta at the north end of Port Susan in the area of Warm Beach.

I've got nearly nothing at all better to do these days, and so I'm open to any daylight fishing time, either day or even both.

If at first you don't succeed....  maybe skydiving is just not for you.

If you can, get there on Thursday at 3:30-4PM. The tides look best then. ;)

Zee.Are you talking about the mouth of the Stilly or Steamboat Slough? According
to john's sporting goods,Steamboat is best fished on the last couple hrs of incoming tide and the lower Stilly to Warm Beach is best near low tide. on Thurs, low tide is 3:08 pm at kayak Pt and 5:23 pm at Stanwood which might be hard to get back to the Memorial bridge in the light not to mention fighting the outgoing tide. What's your best take on this? Fishin-t and myself are elderly guys in their late 50's. Yet buff. ;D

Just trying to get a general concensus on what time low tide would be on Thurs
02/04/10 at the mouth of the Stilly. Kayak Point says a 1.3 at 3:07 and Stilly river
at Stanwood says 0.4 at 5:23pm. I'm confused and don't want to fight tide going back up river or be in the dark.

I was actually talking about Priest Point. Works good on a lower outgoing tide. Here's the tide graph for that location. http://www.dairiki.org/tides/daily.php/mry/2010-02-04
