Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

Thanks for the props!  As far as landing an oversize from a yak, totally can be done.  It's efficient as long as your rod/reel/line is.  You need a partner (as always) but for safety in this type of fishery, if the monster jumps and lands on you...it's gonna be ugly and you will need assistance.  The kayak stays right on top of the fish, very little line scope and you can crank that drag down tight!
My braid is only 65lb., reel is a Penn 209, and an awesome Lamiglass Pro XT.

I've caught some oversize from PB's and this experience from a yak totally enlightened me.  You can do it and land a big fish just as well as in a PB...but your helpless to paddle away from other boats (unless you have a peddle cabability).  You need a fish fight partner to stay right on your tail in case something happens.  It's hard to keep up initially, the yak that's hooked up is really moving fast!
