Ok, I'm rigging up my 'yak and am curious to see what others are using as far as the size (weight) of your anchors and rope. I've done some research on you tube regarding the system now just putting it all togther. - Yokut

There's a bunch of various discussion on that here on the forums.  It definitely depends on the situation, but most recently I've been happy with an 8# river mushroom, on 120# dacron.

In Puget Sound I've been using a 3# (1.5kg) folding with 3/16" line on a bsteves system.   It has dragged on occasion in wind and current, so I'll probably pick up a #5 folder for the "extreme" conditions.  In lakes I've gotten away with an even smaller folder.  I've never river fished so can not speak to that.

I use an adjustable weight anchor......a bait net with rocks.
