I've had my revo for several months and have not had time to start riggin' it due to family health issues. Want to get started.Any ideas which of these mounts would work better on the gunale in front of the mesh pockets? I'm also thinking of using my 8" extender and that new extended arm Scotty has out. Lookin' for input

The difference it whether the mount locks the post in place.  Once the post is inserted there is only one orientation in which the key aligns and the post could fall out.  Also your rod will have a leash or floating handle.  The mountings are both the same size so it's your call.  I can see an advantage to the locking mount in the case of a huli.

Check the bolting dimensions and make sure the location on the gunwale will hold it.
