Is anyone interested in carpooling/taking a trip to the Moutcha Bay Kayak Fishing Derby?

It's on 9/1-9/2.

It looks to be a 8-ish hour drive/ferry I think. Does anyone have any experience or is anyone interested in doing the trip? I could leave on Thursday afternoon from Seattle, maybe stopping somewhere halfway to camp/crash on the way.

Hi Matt,

There are actually a lot of us heading up to this derby.  Check out the running thread here ... http://www.northwestkayakanglers.com/bb/index.php?topic=297.0

It will be more than 8 hours including border crossings.  It took us 1.5 hours to cross the border just this weekend.  I'll be looking into ferry reservations as well.
