I picked her up yesterday morning from the shipping hub in kent, and strait to Luhr Beach for a little flounder action. So far she is all I had hoped for, but I'll hold my tongue until after Westport this Sun. I'll write up a review then.

It looks cool! I like the rear handle inset from the end and turned - it should allow easy rigging of a stern anchor mount/pulley. A couple more rod holders up front would be sweet. I look forward to reading how it goes out it the surf . . .

I'm really liking the rectangular trunk, why OK continues to taper theirs makes no sense to me.  How's she paddle compared to your Cobra?

What are the 6 small round indents in the tank well for?   ???

I didn't think people bought kayaks you had to paddle anymore ;D

In all seriousness she looks pretty.

I'd be willing to bet they match a milk crate + rod holder setup that comes prefab that someone sells for big $$

In comparison to the cobra she may as well be a power boat. Very efficient paddle, and tracks like a champ. This is partially do to the new Corryvrecken I bought with her, but even with 2ndflooryak's (who landed his first fish on a yak yesterday!!) mid sized blades she still cut the water like butter. Not nearly as stable as the fish 'n' dive, but doesn't feel like she wants to buck me out either. I was able to stand in her and paddel a few yards before some wakes from a passing boat added a bit of excitement ::)

I plan to put a couple of flushmount Scotty bases on the front since I have a good 1/2 doz different Scotty rodholders for my different rod types/styles. After those and an anchor trolley, I can't think of anything she lacks for now. I might add a rudder down the road to aid in tracking with my downrigger, but I'll cross that bridge when the time comes.

The round things in the tank well are for PVC rodholders. They are a good 1/2 deep. I think shot glasses are more likely to ride there on my boat >:D

Here's 2ndflooryak with his almost 18" starry.

Congrats on the 1st yak fish, very cool, well done! In addition to the sunscreen - a good hat will save you some radiation damage.
