I saw a great video of a couple fishing out of a tandem; however, I could not recognize the make and model. I have a 12 year old who wants to get out with my 16 year old and I but he is not that strong yet to go solo. I figure it may be a few years, so I am on the hunt for a tandem so I can help him get out with us. Just wondering what is the bomb in doubles?

I think the one you are referring too was on OPB and was a blue Ocean Kayak Malibu Two XL.   I have one of these tandems as well, and will say it's not a bad tandem.  It's actually functional as a single person as well.  It's not as fast or nimble as any of the longer/narrower single seat SOT's but it works.
