any thoughts on where to get a pink on this evening?  I hit the shipwreck on Sunday but skunked and didn't notice any of the motorized boats catching either.  The state biologist told me some fish were coming in but it must have been an early morning show.  I don't mind going skunk for chinook but it's just demoralizing not to catch pinks!

I heard a report that Lincoln was the place but that's a week old now.

if anyone wants to join me, that would be nice too.  Unless I get some advice on another spot, I'll be at Lincoln around 5:30 this p.m.  I'm in a red hobie.  It's been awhile but I recall there is a place to put the kayak in just north of the park.

See Zee's reports from Richmond Beach.  He's doing very well there on pinks.

The Dash Point and Browns Point area has been good for Pinks the past two weeks. Best place to launch is the City of Tacoma Park near the fishing pier and Lobster Shop restaurant. The beach next to the pier is surprisingly good fishing.

Fly fishing for Pinks is a lot of fun. I use a clear intermediate sinking line and a pink fly. Best retrieve is long, slow pulls with a few quick jerks. Keep fishing the fly all the way in to the boat or the beach, as they'll follow and hit very close.

Just watch out for waves from passing container ships when you're landing a fish!

got skunked at Lincoln Park last night but it was such a pleasant float that I'm not complaining.  Amazing sunset and some nice bikinis shoreside.  Zee, I tried to send you a pm but appear to be one of those techology limited dudes and couldn't figure it out.  Anyway, I might be able to hit the water this evening (Wed) but won't know for sure until 4 pm or so.  In other words, don't count on me but if I do go I'll try Richmond Beach and maybe see you.

Tom B, thanks for the tip.  you're a better man than I flyfishing out of a kayak.  As much as I love working a fly line, there are just too many snags in a boat.  I finally went to gear whenever I'm in the kayak and am much happier now.

You didn't get skunked.. any day you can get bikinis :o w/ a trip is all good. :D

To send a PM just click the icon to the farthest right under my avatar. Looks like work will be ruling my day today. I'm gonna try again for Thursday evening. My schedule is just all over the place this week. :P But I will get out there soon.
