I just bought my first kayak, a Jackson Coosa.  I live very close to the Snake River between Marsing and Homedale and plan on fishing that area a fair amount.  I plan on hitting other small reservoirs and ponds in the area.  If anyone lives in the area or is passing through and wants to fish, let me know.

Welcome! this can be a great place to shorten the learnign curve in your new sport. You;re in the forefront of a growing number of ID yak fishers, Hopefully the other ID members will chime in soon.

Enjoy the fishing from your Coosa. and let us know how it works out for your area. It's a relatively new boat on the market so we don't hear a lot about it.

I am in the Boise area and I recently aquired a Hobie Quest. I am thinking about hitting CJ Strike in the next couple of weeks. The crappie should start biting pretty soon as well as bass and catfish.
