Hi all,

I'm looking for a calender that lists when the different fish runs come through our (WA) rivers and salt.
I know this may not exist except for in the memories of the salty folks, but thought i'd check with you all...

Thanks for any help on this!

Ben

This would be one of those things that someone hoping to make a quick buck and who was willing to leave the country might try to get published. :D

The arrival times of each particular run often vary from one year to the next, but can usually be pinned down to within a period of a couple of weeks.  Anglers who know the timing start checking early, and if they find a few, and if asked, they might tell you that "No, they haven't shown up yet." After the run shows full force and they have caught a bunch, they might tell you, if asked, that "there's a few out there."  As the run starts to wind down, and everybody already knows about it, and its in the media, maybe they'll tell you, if asked, "The fish are showing pretty good out there right now... better go and get 'em."

Savvy? >:D >:D >:D >:D >:D >:D

The information you seek is not dissimilar to asking a fella for a date with his sister.

When she's young, he'll be pissed, when he's older, he might oblige ya, when she's like 30+, he'll be setting you up with a date.
