Cape Lookout boring report.

One small flatfish.  An 8" sole or some sort.  First cast and then nothing for the rest of the day.  Tried for surfperch behind the waves on a really calm day, then off the nearshore rocks south of the campground, along the cape itself on the northside, and out deep off the tip where it was too windy to keep my jig on the bottom.  I've tried here once before and fished the south side of the cape and found nothing.  Great paddling and sea cave exploring, found a boatload of crab pot floats in a couple of small beaches.  But the lack of seals and sea lions should've been a clue that there aren't many fish there right now.  Bummer, 'cause it's a great place to play.  Anyone else ever had much luck there?
