I dunno about asking for "cash only" to be any sort of red flag. The asking price might be a flag.
If I'm selling something I want to get rid of, I won't ever take a personal check from a stranger. That's just asking for trouble. If they have the money, then they must bring cash. There's just too much funny business these days. I'll even check the bills to see if they are counterfeit, too!
Even people I know will have to come up with cash, unless I know them to be employed and flush with $$, and also I must know where they live.

When I was a kid, I viewed W.C. Fields movies on TV! Educational as well as funny!

curiosity got the best of me, so i decided to take a look beings i was driving by. this is the real deal. i would of bought this boat but the wife said only if i plan on living in it. the seller is a very nice elderly man that got a revo and an adventure for him and his wife, she developed arthritis so they sold the revo and now they are selling the adventure. he purchased them new from a hobie dealer in oceanside,ca (jason)

i would be embarrassed to offer anything less than the asking price.

he doesn't mention there is an extra sail kit that went with the revo, the buyer didn't want it

Thanks for the update----generally, kayaks are not the greatest of sailboats.  Hobie catamaran is the most fun you can have on the water by yourself!!!

The kayak by itself is cheap @ $1400. Plus the cart, sail, daggerboard, dodger, PFD, and paddle wear for the same price? Deal of the century.

Someone needs to jump on this!  Buying an Adventure was the best Yak fishing purchase I have made to date.  If you fish "big water" (coastal bays, the ocean, larger rivers etc.) this is the yak for you!
