Thought I had posted this, but I guess not....

The Great Willamette River Clean Up is coming up. On Saturday, Oct 2nd, volunteers throughout the Willamette system will be converging at specific locations to pickup litter along its shores. Waterbased cleanup crews will be on kayak or canoe, and shorebased cleanups for those on foot or bike. After-parties are planned too. Check out http://www.willamette-riverkeeper.org/WRK/newsroom.html for more info. There is a link to cleanup sites and registration info

I managed to get the day off for a change, and the wife and I are going to be out there
