$30.00 per angler  proceeds to be donated for use in the continuing enhancement efforts of the yaquina bay salmon stocks.

1st place $500
2nd place $300
3rd  place $200

check-in is at 5:45am at the southbeach marina  on the water at 7:00
there is a good low to high tide in the morning low at 8:12 2.3ft to high at 2:14 9.1ft

fees can be paid a various locations. contact englund marine for more info. 541-265-9275

starting to get good numbers up river above toledo, i'll know more after this weekend

Anyone can fish this.  Not limited to PB's.  No fishing above the red barn upriver.  Pretty straight forward.

The 8th Annual U da Man Chinook Tournament returns to Newport and the Yaquina River for 2010 !

Sunday, October 10th
7 AM-3 PM
Weigh in at the South Beach Marina Complex from 3:15 PM to 3:45 PM
1st Place $500
2nd Place $300
3rd Place $200
Prizes for every fish weighed!

$30 entrance fee, payable in Newport at Englund Marine and Harry's Bait & Tackle, in South Beach at Newport Marina Store & Charters, and Newport Marine and RV. Entrance fees can be mailed to Englund Marine @ 880 SE Bay Blvd Newport, OR 97365

Entrance fees must be recieved by October 1st to recieve a free
U da Man tshirt.

Full rules and the tournament brochures can be obtained at any of the above listed locations and will be available at the launch site on October 10th.

TEXAS HOLD-EM POKER TOURNAMENT
Saturday October 9th
6PM at the Rogue Ales South Beach Brewery
$50 buy in for the 1st 100 players only.
Tickets are available at all entry fee locations.
& available during the tournament!

Special rates are being offered to U da Man participants at the LaQuinta Inn in South Beach for $81 + tax for both Friday & Saturday nights. LaQuinta Inn offers a large parking lot to best accomidate trucks and trailers, as well as only being minutes away from the South Beach Marina complex, as well as restaurants and shops. PM "the Spoiled Daddy" or "Bigmaverick" for additional motel info.

Some changes to past tournaments have occurred. Tournament fishing will now be allowed from the Jetty tips (use caution-weather permitting) in the Yaquina River to the Red Barn Hole, upriver from Canyon Quarry Park. Once again, the PORT OF NEWPORT is providing free boat launching at the South Beach Marina for those boats with paid entrance fees. Only the new boat ramp will be open this year.

All proceeds are used for Chinook salmon enhancement in the Yaquina Bay and River.

thanks guys for following up on the details. sorry i dropped the ball. i've been slammed at work, barely have had time to fish.

 also... yes this is a river only tourney. from the jetty tips to the red barn above toledo.

there is no deadline for signing up. you can do it that morning at the marina, but if you want a free t-shirt have your payment in by oct.1

i plan on going, but i am going to launch at canyon quarry above toledo. from the reports i have been hearing fishing is pretty good through out the river
