So, I've been guiding on the river this summer and doing casting lessons at one of the resorts. I don't usually do a lot of fishing while on a trip, it's more untangling lines and retying flies. I did get some solo time, last night. Results- one auto released steelhead, after 2 seconds and a 5' jump; a couple of jumbo westslope cutts; and a few small rainbows.

Here's some pictures, if I've got this figured out.

The biggest was 19 1/2"x10 1/2". The next was 17"

How's it look for a steelhead opener on the Methow?  An October steelhead/deer cast and blast trip is always one of the highlights of the year for me.

Way too early to tell- we have to hold our breath and hope the dam(n) counts pan out, then that the state and feds will agree.
