General tips on fly casting from the yak.

Ugh I have a lot to learn!  Fly fished when I was a teenager in Montana, and just now picking it up after 30 years!!!  I wasn't to successful last summer in my float tube.  The cast would collapse in a pile 15' in front of me.  I took a lesson from a certified instructor this spring that really help me diagnose what I was doing wrong, everything.  Guess I should sit on my ass in the ballpark and start casting till I get it down without problems.  Then I will feel ready to cast from the kayak.

A couple quick points-
•   Have a boat with less objects for the line to get caught on is huge.
•   Strippingbaskets can be useful, but take some getting use to
•   When  casting let the rod do the casting not your muscle.
Lots of fun when done right, and a pain in the ass when not...
